Military heads want transgender enlistment hold

Military chiefs will seek a six-month delay before letting transgender people enlist in their services, officials said Friday.

After meetings this week, the service leaders hammered out an agreement that rejected Army and Air Force requests for a two-year wait and reflected broader concerns that a longer delay would trigger criticism on Capitol Hill, officials familiar with the talks told The Associated Press. MORE

Turkish government seizes Syriac Orthodox properties

The government of Turkey has seized more than 50 properties from the Syriac Orthodox Church in the country’s Mardin province.

The government’s religion ministry said that ownership permits had lapsed for the properties in question—including churches, monasteries, and cemeteries. Many of the properties are no longer in regular use, although Syriac officials report that the cemeteries, for instance, are still used on occasion for memorial services.

One of the properties, the Mor Gabriel monastery, has considerable historic value. The 1600-year old monastery is one of the world’s oldest.

An appeal by Syriac officials has been denied. SOURCE

The reasons why Catholics believe, “No one knows when the End will come.”

In as much as I have written on this before, like for the last 47 years, human beings being what they are, continue to find those loop holes that I figure were not necessary to explain. So once again I will try to give a more in depth explanation of this subject which really started in the 1500’s.

To begin with, we have to go to the first prophecy and sign we have for Christ’s return in St. Paul’s letter 2 Thessalonians when he tells us that the Lord cannot come back until the “Man of Sin” the son of perdition comes into the world. I’m sure that all through the century’s there were lots of people accused of being the Man of Sin or the AntiChrist. Pope Leo X got this distinguish title from Martin Luther.

Thousands flee their homes as floods hit Germany

Record floods engulfed the historic eastern German city of Dresden today, swamping its Baroque architecture and driving thousands from their homes.

A tide of debris-laden brown water also submerged other towns on the River Elbe, forcing the evacuation of tens of thousands while volunteers battled to save the centre of Dresden, the capital of Saxony, 120 miles south of Berlin. MORE

Americans consume roughly 400 Million gallons of gasoline a day.

Environmentalists have an honest concern over the welfare of our planet but I don’t think we all realize the energy consumption of our nation. This one statistic of roughly 400 million gallons of gasoline a day is mind boggling. And this is just one product. I can’t even begin to fathom the amount of all the other products. So, yes lets keep switching to cleaner energy as long as we don’t punish the consumer with shortages and higher costs.

In 2016, about 143.37 billion gallons (or about 3.41 billion barrels1) of finished motor gasoline were consumed2 in the United States, MORE

“The Man of Sin” ~ by Francis Panakal,

Paul VI wearing the Jewish Breast Plate in place of a Cross
This book is addressed to Traditionalists Catholics. Its brevity is
international. It is an attempt to identify Paul VI as the main AntiChrist,
whose spirit, on a global scale, is now drawing countless souls into
his ecumenical apostate church, the mystical body of Satan, inside
of which there can be no salvation.     1983

Martin Luther and Bp. Barron – There’s no such thing as one cockroach

TRANSCRIPT
My mother, God rest her soul, used to say, “There’s no such thing as just one cockroach.” Meaning of course, that when you see one, there were a whole bunch of others that you weren’t seeing. A number of years ago, Bp. Robert Barron, came out publicly with the ludicrous statement that we have a reasonable hope that all men are saved. We and many others have profiled that statement numerous times, along with its profound underlying philosophical and theological errors.

A Brief Account Leading up to my Two Visions and my Background

With me you might say it started the day May 13. Seems Our Lady had her finger on me.

Not to make a long story longer. After I got out of the Army, 1957, my folks had moved to L. A. So I went to L. A. to start my life again.

One day a Bible salesman came to the house and sold me a Papal edition Bible. At the time I was a party guy but thought that everyone should own a good Bible. Unfortunately in casually looking it over, the old and the new I felt it was contradictory.

I was working for a aircraft component company but when the Russians launched, there was a lay off. Since I had worked for bakery’s before I went back to them for work, but had to give up my Sundays. Some time later I had a boyhood friend visit with his girl friend who later became his wife. Continue reading
