Stopped defending

Proposition 13Most believed it was a property tax measure mainly to help homeowners, apartments, motels, hotels, trailer parks, 

but later we found out that it was for big cooperation’s as well, like So.Ca. Edison, Pacific Telephone who by the way, were neutral on the proposition. I figured the reason being that they wrote those taxes off of their federal and state income tax and those funds contributed to the welfare of the local community which they are a part of. So, the Feds got more tax money and we got less.   

As a result, there was a big cut back in revenue for our schools, libraries, roads, parks, and a dependable tax base to which, WE HAVE NEVER RECOVERED FROM TO THIS DAY. Summer school was the first to go and many students who could have graduated just quit high school and went to a Jr, College instead, without a high school diploma.
