China’s Navy pulled into Naval Station Mayport for its first official visit to an East Coast U.S. base, a 5-day goodwill visit that will include a crew trip to Disney World. Toxin levels to be tested weekly
The California crabbing season will be delayed until state health officials determine domoic acid levels in local shellfish are low enough they can be eaten without health risk, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife announced by press release late Friday.
The California Fish and Game Commission voted Thursday to postpone the start of recreational crabbing. This was followed by CDFW Director Charlton H. Bonham taking emergency rulemaking action on Friday to put off commercial harvesting. MORE

Pope Francis stumbled and fell as he walked up steps in St Peter’s Squareon Saturday.
The pontiff struck a prayer-like pose as he tumbled up the steps, stopping his fall with his hands before being helped by two security personnel walking beside him.
