1. Revelation clearly teaches that a certain class of good angels fulfill the office of guardianship over men. Our Lord said of children: “They have angels of their own in heaven, that behold the face of my heavenly Father continually” (Matt. 18:10). Woe to him, then, who scandalizes a child, or anyone else who is a child of God through baptism, or who is even called to be such, as all men are; for God has assigned a Guardian Angel to every soul. All these angels are “spirits apt for service, whom he sends out when the destined heirs of eternal salvation have need of them” (Heb. 1:14). These comforting words of the Psalmist apply to all men: “He has given charge to his angels concerning thee, to watch over thee wheresoever thou goest” (Gradual). In the course of the year the Church celebrates the feast of individual angels, but on this day she honors all those spirits, to whom God has entrusted the protection of men, calling them Guardian Angels.
“Today children – children! – are taught in school that everyone can choose his or her sex. Why are they teaching this? Because the books are provided by the persons and institutions that give you money. These forms of ideological colonization are also supported by influential countries. And this terrible!
In October, 2016, he reiterated this criticism, condemning the “indoctrination of gender theory”, going on to say of transgenderism, “It is one thing for a person to have this tendency, this option and even to have a sex change, but it is another thing to teach this in schools in order to change mentalities. This I call ideological colonisation”. MORE
France and the United Kingdom are doing it. So is India. And now one lawmaker would like California to follow their lead in phasing out gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles. MORE
The man who morally undermined America is dead and no one is saying a word…Well, I have a few things to say…. What did Hefner stand for really? Hedonism, debauchery, lust, envy, lasciviousness–all of the deadly sins that lead to the downfall of nations. Yet we idolize such men as gods! And what about the females…so eager to expose themselves, without shame, without conscience, and knowing that what they do corrupts others? Without Hefner there might not have been a “sexual revolution” resulting in the deaths of 60 million unborn children. Estrogen from birth control pills now contaminates every water supply and fresh water river in America…And 100 million females use these drugs regularly!
Now, Virtually everyone in America is immoral.
THE RESULT:
The traditional family unit is extinct
The divorce rate is reaching 80%
Marriage between a man and a woman is a thing of the past
Sexual promiscuity and perversion is taught in gov’t schools to children as young as 5
One in five Californians live in poverty, according to a new U.S. Census Bureau report.
Using the Supplemental Poverty Measure, which accounts for regional cost-of-living, the average poverty rate in California from 2014 through 2016 stood at 20.4 percent, the highest among the states and second only to the District of Columbia’s 21 percent average. The national average over that period of time was 14.7 percent. MORE
St. Michael has four main responsibilities or offices, as we know from scripture and Christian tradition.
The first is to combat Satan.
The second is to escort the faithful to heaven at their hour of death.
The third is to be a champion of all Christians, and the Church itself.
And the fourth is to call men from life on Earth to their heavenly judgment.
Very little is known about St Michael other than what we know from scriptures, which themselves are sparse.
In Daniel, St. Michael is mentioned twice. The first time as one who helped Daniel, and the second time he is mentioned with regard to the end times of the world when he will stand for the “children of thy people.”
His next mention comes in the Epistle of St. Jude, where St. Michael is said to guard the tombs of Moses and Eve and has contended with Satan over the body of Moses.
The final mention is in Revelation, where St. Michael and his angels, do battle with the dragon.
Politicians on the left trying to “cleanse” our history. The NFL disrespecting our country and our veterans. Lying politicians, saying one thing to voters, then going to Washington and doing the exact opposite. But we can fix that, together!Continue reading →
An Italian man lived alone in New Jersey . He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison.
The father
wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:
Dear Vincent,
I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.
Love,
Papa
A few days later he received a letter from his son.
Dear Pop,
Don’t dig up that garden. That’s where the bodies are buried.
Love, Vinnie
At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.
That same day the father received another letter from his son.
Dear Pop,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That’s the best I could do under the circumstances.
Sr. Mary Bernadette will be celebrating her Golden Jubilee on October 7 of this year — that is, her 50th Anniversary of Vows! The combined ceremony of Vows and Jubilee begins with all the Sisters processing into the church chanting the Salve Regina — a very moving sight. We would all be most grateful if you would keep all of us in your prayers during this time, and be assured we will be praying for you as well.
On Wednesday, October 11th during the annual Fatima Conference at Mount Saint Michael, there will be a special reception in recognition of her golden jubilee, to which you are all cordially. Continue reading →
On Monday we released one question from the forthcoming national Cato 2017 Free Speech and Tolerance Survey of 2,300 Americans conducted by the Cato Institute in collaboration with YouGov.
The national survey finds that a solid majority, 61 percent, of Americans oppose firing NFL (National Football League) players who refuse to stand for the national anthem before football games in order to make a political statement. MORE
It’s not really bad news for the NFL, but it’s not great timing. On Friday night, U.S. president Donald Trump chose to target the league during an Alabama rally, saying that players who don’t kneel during the National Anthem should be fired. Those players, many of them black, have done so in protest of the treatment of people of color by the police. MORE
It saddens me to have to write this letter, but obviously you are either ignorant or don’t care about the Greatness of this Country.
The United States has the best judicial system in the world. It came from, not just the founding Fathers but from one of the Greatest Presidents who ever lived, Abraham Lincoln. Union soldiers shed their blood, not just for blacks but for all Americans so we could be free from tyranny and have justice under the law.
I really need your help. As most of you already know, I am running for Congress in Idaho’s first congressional district, and because there is no incumbent the race is totally wide open. I announced that I was running on July 4th, and so September 30th is my very first FEC quarterly reporting deadline. All over the country, prominent Republican donors and key conservative organizations will be judging the strength of my campaign based on how much money I raise this quarter. MORE
A bitter row has erupted after a fashion show featuring satanic designs was held at a historic church.
Leading clerics branded the event ‘blasphemous’ after models dressed as devils and vampires sashayed in front of the altar.
The show, part of London Fashion Week, was highlighting the work of controversial Turkish designer Dilara Findikoglu, whose creations have been worn by celebrities including singer Rihanna. MORE
