To understand the seriousness of the situation in the Church as a result of the Vatican II council you need to understand theology. Catholics are bound by the deposit of faith, not by private revelations, private opinions of prelates or doctors of the church. We have never had in the history of the church where a pope with a council passed teachings that contradict past councils. For one the council teaches one can be saved in any religion and that the Catholic church is not the only means of salvation. (1)

I managed to keep a first Saturday commitment with the “Padre Pio Rosary group “in L.A. In the mid 60’s I found a job that had weekends off and I was back to Sunday Mass. In the bulletin they advertised Adult Catechism classes in the evening so I decided to enroll.

On Jan. 17, 2023, Pakistan’s National Assembly unanimously voted to expand the country’s laws on blasphemy, which carries the death penalty for insulting the Prophet Muhammad. The new law now extends the punishment to those deemed to have insulted the prophet’s companions, which could include thousands of early Muslims, with 10 years in prison or life imprisonment.

There is, of late in the news media that a Christian majority would become a threat to Democracy.
Duh, democracy means government ruled by the people. In the 13 original colonies each one of them had Jesus in their constitutions. There was no persecution of people who were not Christian anywhere. Why would it be different today? And if anything, it was those Christians who gave us Democracy in the first place.
