The Great Apostasy: The Antichrist System & the Second Coming of Christ

The Marks of the Beast, and how we are affected by them, are explained more fully in my lectures and writings. Briefly, however, the Great Apostasy does not mean a complete abandonment of Christian principles. Rather, it is made up of the Vatican II Council’s syncretistic, humanistic, and interfaith gospel, which is being implemented through the imposition of secular liberal democracy, the United Nations, the E.U., the IMF, and the Vatican II church (Religious Liberty). This system has to spread throughout the world before Christ comes back. You might say most of the world has already accepted this agenda, but it seems the Russian Orthodox Church is now opposing the Whore of Babylon. Scripture indicates its downfall before the end. However, this does not produce another true pope or reverse the Second Coming of Christ.
Ecumenism’s promise of “all one big family” denies Christ’s divinity and paves the way for the Antichrist and his new one-world religion. The “Man of Sin” (Paul VI) brings in the Great Apostasy (schism). It is not the Great Apostasy first and then the Antichrists. Every Vatican II pope is an Antichrist (a god against God, an imitation Jesus Christ, a false pope).
The Antichrist will be worshiped freely and enthusiastically (Book of Destiny, Fr. H. Kramer, 1956, pp. 320–21): he will be admired by the world, and they will adore the new doctrines (Apoc. 13:3–5). John Paul II was the man of the 20th century. One sign: “he will be wounded but live” (13:14). He was shot on May 13.
Not Rome, but the Vatican has become the spiritual seat of the Antichrist. However, Scripture seems to indicate that the Vatican will open a second Vatican City in Jerusalem. Jerusalem already has an infrastructure for the international agenda, and the papacy could be moved there before this is over.
This has one advantage for Traditional Catholics: all countries will have to open their doors to all religions, which will help us as well, giving the world a last chance to repent before Christ comes back. Divine Revelation indicates that we will never recover Peter’s Chair. There will never be another true pope.
Even though every country in the world will accept the Marks of the Beast, Traditional Catholics as individuals will not. However, it is much more difficult these days to find a job without compromising the faith. The Billy Graham enterprises represent Protestant participation in the interfaith agenda, and he is one of the false prophets in the Bible. One of these Antichrists will clash with the Jews, as Benedict XVI did with the recent liturgy change for Good Friday (Feb. 2008), approving the 1962 Missal and reinstating the prayer that the Jews need to be saved (Apoc. 17:16). This was done to please the SSPX. He then lifted their excommunication. Then came Bishop Williamson’s public Holocaust denial, and the Jews were in uproar. However, this did not cause a split in Vatican–Jewish relations.
John Paul II and the Muslims. Among the objections raised against the beatification of John Paul II was his position on Muslims, as stated in his Catechism of the Catholic Church. Page 223, #841, states: “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.” This implies that the “Creator” is our judge on the last day, NOT JESUS CHRIST. This is not only heresy but blasphemy as well. And anyone who says they are the same person denies the Trinity and the role each Person plays in our salvation.
Christ cannot come back until most of the major religions join up with apostate Rome (mainly Novus Ordo Catholics, Jews, Protestants, and Orthodox).
“He who denieth that Jesus is the Christ, this is Antichrist” (1 John 2:22). Jesus commands us to be ever watchful for His return and ever mindful that we have no lasting city on earth. The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life is an invaluable aid in instilling that heavenly orientation, without which true human happiness cannot be found, in this world or the next, unless you get to Heaven.
