Outrage in multi-ethnic Malaysia as government backs Islamic law

Prime Minister Najib Razak’sKUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Najib Razak’s government threw its support in parliament this week behind an Islamic penal code that includes amputations and stoning, shocking some of his allies and stoking fears of further strains in the multi-ethnic country.

Critics believe the scandal-tainted prime minister is using ‘hudood’, the Islamic law, to shore up the backing of Muslim Malay voters and fend off attacks on his leadership ahead of critical by-elections next month and a general election in 2018. MORE

Fatima: the prophecy, the envelope, the missing words, and the denial of Ratzinger

LUCIEThe Pope Emeritus has branded as “pure inventions” the latest speculations on the third secret, according to which the Holy See has not published everything and in which the missing part speaks ill of the Council and of the liturgical reform. But it is certain that the matter will not be dismissed.

“A bad Council and a bad Mass.” This would presumably be the “true” content of the third secret of Fatima that the Vatican has alledgedly kept secret. But Joseph Ratzinger, who guarded it, published it and commented on it, brands as “pure invention” yet another alleged “revelation” on this most discussed and studied prophetic text. MORE

VIDEO: ‘It was like it came out of Jurassic Park!’: Monster alligator

Golfers in Palmetto, Florida, could be forgiven for thinking they had stumbled off the course and into Jurassic Park at the weekend.

While playing a typical Sunday game at Buffalo Creek Golf Course, Charles Helms was able to get a video of a monster alligator casually strolling across the course.

The dinosaur-like gator looked even bigger when another man came into the frame to take a picture – but apparently he is quite a regular sight in the area. MORE

Francis does an about face “Rules out Retiring”

WireAPJust goes to show you can’t trust anything these AntiChrists say

Pope Francis says he has no intention of quitting the papacy — a possibility opened up by his predecessor Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI.

The pope, responding to a question from a young person at a Vatican event, said on Sunday “I never thought of quitting being pope, or of leaving because of the many responsibilities.”

The pope has previously said he envisioned a short papacy before going on “to the Father’s house,” but he has never specifically ruled out following in Benedict’s footsteps. Benedict retired in 2013, the first pope to step down in 600 years.

The pope spoke at a Vatican gathering for the Scholas Occurentes global educational initiative that he launched. George Clooney, accompanied by his wife Amal, and Richard Gere were honored for their contributions. SOURCE

Ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, & of the table of devils

handsI Corinthians 10:13-21

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.    Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? Continue reading

Pope Francis: ‘Migrants Are Not a Danger, They Are in Danger’

Migrants-Getty-640x480In what the Vatican is billing as a “summit on the migrant emergency,” Pope Francis met with a group of four hundred schoolchildren from the south of Italy on Saturday, assuring them that they have nothing to fear from migrants but should be reaching out to welcome them.

The students all came from the southern Italian region of Calabria, which has been among the areas hardest hit by the waves of migrants that daily reach Italy’s shores, mostly from sub-Saharan Africa. MORE
