On reflecting on this recent school shooting by Jaylen Fryberg in the State of Washington, I noticed a similar trait that he had along with other shooters involving high school students. The interim president of Kentucky State University has chosen to show financial compassion for the University’s lowest paid workers by decreasing his salary by nearly $90,000.

Raymond Burse’s pay cut will contribute to a wage increase for over 24 employees at KSU, some of whom were earning the federal minimum of $7.25 per hour. The workers will now earn $10.25 per hour. MORE

This year has seen a significant rise in Catholic Church employees who have been punished in some way for LGBT related employment disputes. Basically, this means they have been fired, resigned, refused to renew restrictive contracts or had job offers rescinded because it was discovered that they were homosexuals living in an open relationship with a “partner” of the same sex.
