A California tribe is buying the Palms Casino Resort off the Las Vegas Strip
The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is expected to acquire the 700-room Palms for $650 million from Red Rock Resorts later this year, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Veteran broadcast journalist Bob Abernethy, who founded the PBS program “Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly,” has died at the age of 93. He died on Sunday (May 2) in Brunswick, Maine, his daughter Jane Montgomery Abernethy announced in a Facebook post. She said her father died of natural causes. MORE

Florida Governor Suspends all Manipulation of Local Emergency Orders to Restrict Freedom, Ending all COVID-19 Restrictions
The Florida Legislature has completed a bill that blocks any/all local municipalities from continuing “emergency use COVID orders” that restricts business and individual freedom. The law goes into effect on July 1st, and Governor Ron DeSantis signed the bill today in St. Petersburg. To speed up the process, the Governor also announced he was using his executive office to suspend all local ordinances and restrictions effective immediately.
In other words, you are free to take whatever precautions you deem personally necessary but all local restrictions are blocked. VIDEO

California is set to release 76,000 prisoners who will vote and who are clearly one of the pampered voting blocs of the Democrat [Socialist] Party. The number includes violent and repeat offenders.
“More than 63,000 inmates convicted of violent crimes will be eligible for good behavior credits that shorten their sentences by one-third instead of the one-fifth that had been in place since 2017.
