The White House said Tuesday it is reaching out to the Vatican to set up a possible meeting President Trump and Pope Francis, little more than a year after they clashed over Trump’s proposed anti-immigration wall between the United States and Mexico.

“We will be reaching out to the Vatican to see if an audience with the pope can be accommodated,” White House spokesman Sean Spicer said. “We would be honored to have an audience with his holiness.” MORE

Arrests of people caught trying to sneak into the United States across the Mexican border plummeted in March to the lowest monthly figure in more than 17 years, the head of the Department of Homeland Security reported.

That’s a likely sign that fewer immigrants are trying to make the trek into the United States.

On Thursday, two days after an airstrike and chemical attack on rebel-held Khan Sheikhoun by Syrian government forces, which left over 70 people dead and injured more than 500, Tel Aviv’s chief rabbi spoke up. Speaking to Army Radio, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau, the current chairman of Yad Vashem who is also the former Ashkenazi chief rabbi of Israel, said, “What is happening in Syria is [also] a holocaust. We know God created us. The Church tells us that He wants us to know Him to love Him and to serve Him in this world and in the next. Could it also have been that without a creation, there would be no one to know of the existence of God? This year April 9 starts the week of the creation by the solar calendar and spring full moon. However this Passover full moon is two days off, landing on Tuesday instead of Thursday for the last supper. So this year the creation week starts on 9th and Adam’s birth or his creation day would fall on Good Friday the 14.  Ex:12.
