Mar17 by admin March 19 St. Joseps Day St. Joseph’s Day is celebrated on March 19 each year to honor the husband of the Virgin Mary and the legal father of Jesus Christ. It is a feast day of the highest rank in the Catholic Church and is also recognized in the Anglican Communion and the Lutheran Church. The day is significant as it is the Patronal Feast day for Poland and Canada, and it is observed as Father’s Day in some Catholic countries, mainly Spain, Portugal, Croatia, and Italy. The feast day has been celebrated since the 10th century and was officially established in Rome by 1479. It is also the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker on May 1, which was instituted in 1955 by Pope Pius XII.
