American Leftists Go on a Rampage against Catholic History Now St. Joan of Arc and Our Lady of Guadalupe Have Been Targeted

From: The TRADITIO Fathers

Leftists in the United States, who started with destroying statues erected to heroes of the Confederacy, then moved on to desecrating statues of Padre Junipero Serra. founder of the California Missions, have now gone on to target monuments to other Catholic heroes: St. Joan of Arc, Christopher Columbus, Roger Taney — even Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Mayor Hector Lora of Passaic, New Jersey, on August 18, 2017, ordered the removal of a shrine to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patron Saint of the Americas. The shrine, erected by a local group, surrounded an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary with flowers and candles.

In New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 21, 2017, Leftists spray-painted the equestrian statue of that city’s Patron Saint, the Maid of Orleans, the Martyr St. Joan of Arc, with the words “Take it down” in black paint across the base of the gilt statue on Decatur Street in the French Quarter. It is at this statue that the annual Joan of Arc parade ceremonially pauses on the first day of the Carnival season.
On August 21, 2017, in Boston, Massachusetts, Leftists spray-painted the foundation block of a white marble statue of the Catholic discoverer of the Americas, Christopher Columbus with the words “Black Lives Matter,” the moniker of the violent Leftist group that has fomented riots in cities across the United States, and a large amount of red paint was poured over the top and sides of the statue, which was situated in Christopher Columbus park on the North End waterfront.
On August 18, 2017, the Maryland Legislature, situated in the capital city of Annapolis, and home of the United States Naval Academy, removed a statue of the first Catholic Supreme Court Justice, Roger Taney, because he had written a decision that denied U.S. citizenship to Africans. Taney was an important figure in U.S. Catholic history. He became the first Catholic to have served in a U.S. President?s cabinet when he was appointed Attorney General by Andrew Jackson in 1831. Taney later served as Secretary of War and Secretary of the Treasury under President Jackson. He became the first Catholic Supreme Court Justice in 1836, after Jackson nominated him as Chief Justice. The bronze statue of him was erected in 1872, just outside the original front door of the State House.
True Catholics, who knows who the next Catholic targets will be, since the Newchurchers of the United States have to date been gutless wonders, failing to stand up to the desecrations and the mania of anti-Catholic historical revisionism? The Newchurch of the New Order is not Catholic, but anti-Catholic. Its current leader, the Marxist Newpope Fracis-Bergoglio seems Hell-bent on destroying the memory of anything Catholic in Europe, in the Americas, and in fact all over the world.
