
Los Angeles Hindu-Catholic Dialogue: “God at Play in All Creatures: Reading Laudato Si’ through Hindu Ecotheology,” Thursday, April 14, in Los Angeles
The Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs is a co-director of the Los Angeles Hindu-Catholic Dialogue. The Dialogue will present “God at Play in All Creatures: Reading Laudato Si’ through Hindu Ecotheology” on Thursday, April 14, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on the campus of Loyola Marymount University (University Hall, Room 1000). The keynote speaker will be Daniel Scheid, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Theology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and author of The Cosmic Common Good: Religious Grounds for Ecological Ethics. In addition, response and dialogue will be provided by Eric Meyer, Ph.D., and Mugdha Yeolekar, Ph.D. Prayers for the Earth will be offered by Swami Omkarananda and the Rt. Rev. Alexei R. Smith, Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs Officer for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. This event is free and open to the public, since it is generously funded by the Martin Gang Institute.
