Made in the likeness of God, who is love, man has such an insatiable need for love that he is hunted by the desperate fear of not being loved enough. Even the love of God, proved in favors every minute of the day, seems not to be real enough. But that depends largely on how much love for God and men there is in our heart. The more perfect our love for God, the less we will fear and doubt. Actually, so overwhelming is God’s love that we cannot understand it; we have to believe it. As for mankind, the stronger a person’s love for all peoples, the more tolerant will he be, and the more ready to forgive.
