An out-of-control wildfire raging in Northern California is threatening more than 2,000 homes, having already engulfed huge swaths of timber land east of Sacramento.

Another town near the Oregon border is taking account of the damage done by an earlier fierce wildfire that burned 200 homes giving residents just minutes to escape, during an ‘explosive’ couple of days. MORE
