When Benedict XVI was elected, I was surprised that he didn’t take the name of John Paul III. I surmised later that his motive was to please the conservatives and some Traditionalists. At the time I began to wonder if he would be the last AntiChrist pope and would he be here when Christ returned. So I began explaining to Traditional Catholic’s that he might be the last one but if he should die that would indicate, (from scriptures) that there would be two more antichrist popes and the next one would only reign a short time. It’s unfortunate that I could not find this remark in any of my files but many of my friends reminded me that I mention this to them. My reply was, “Yes but he didn’t DIE he resigned.” However the second half of my statement took a turn to the truthful fact that Francis just stated that he was only going to be around a few more years. This being the case, I would have to add a few more years to Christ’s return to make room for another antichrist pope.. It’s going to be close since I stated that the Great Apostasy lasts 40 to 50 years and we are entering the official 45th year this November 19, 2014.
