It’s not about whether one out performs the other but with all things being equal, a woman, for the most part, because of their gender, has more physical problems which causes them to be absent form work more than men. Then there are children family problems which compounds more frequent absenteeism. This is just a reality any employee has to consider when making choices for promotions and management positions, and the like.
