Dear friends my letter to the Daily Breeze was posted December 17 but the Breeze did not post it on their web site. That’s why I delayed sending it out. My title of, “Post Office discriminates against Christmas Stamp,” Was changed to… “Does USPS give Christmas a stamp of disapproval”
The U.S.Post Office sent out their seasonal advertisement promoting mailing benefits for the season. Enclosed were the stamps for the season. Listed were a Hanukkah, Kwanzaa stamp with a third stamp having a picture of some sort of ginger bread house which we have to assume represents Christmas. Yet the word Christmas does not appear on this stamp. Postmaster, Patrick R.Donahoe should be written to and asked why they chose to advertise three different holidays but not mention the name of the most important reason for this season. If this isn’t a gross case of discrimination then I don’t know what is. I guess those of us that can’t find Christmas stamps at the post office this year should substitute them with the Purple Heart to show the bleeding of our seasonal faith.
