Americans don’t seem to learn from history. It just does not pay to get involved in a war or a revolution without a determination to win. Just look at all the displaced Vietnamese refugees we had to take in because we did not chose to win. Oh, our social security fund paid for their relocation. Now we have over a million and growing Syrian refuges who have no where to turn to but tents in the cold and wet winter, with no end in sight. Thanks to Russia’s intervention and the American public who prevented President Obama from helping the rebels on the side of Democracy. Those rebels have been abandoned and now the Islamic Jihadist groups have taken the lead in the war. This means that peace talks most likely cannot be obtained in the foreseeable future.
