Nazi Campaign against Church exposed

New documents show plan to eliminate Christianity

Newly released documents, originally prepared by prosecutors at the Nuremberg trails, show that Adolph Hitler’s Nazi regime had drawn up and begun to execute a careful plan to suppress Christianity in Germany.

The new documents, confirming that hundreds of thousands of Christians died for the faith in Nazi death camps, show a systematic Nazi persecution of the Church. They also call into question the widespread charge that Christians collaborated with Hitler’s regime.

The documents, published by the Rutgers University Journal of Law and Religion, were prepared by the US Office of
Strategic Services (the predecessor to the CIA) ,in support of prosecutors at the Nuremberg trials.  Embracing thousands of pages of reports, they document the Nazi plans to intimidate, divide, and ultimately eliminate Christian churches in Germany.
