Love is to Provide and Protect

good shepherdWe know God loves us and His concern is to provide and protect us from the evils of the world. This protection however , can only be applicable as long as we cooperate, or try to cooperate with His divine Will. What does this consist of? Living in this world, but living the life He calls us to as Catholics. In as much as we are a part of the world we must not adapt to the secular world’s standards. These standards are generally at odds over Christian principles of which are based upon the superiority of the spiritual nature of man.

One of the errors of the secular world is a perverse notion of the civilized benefits of equality among sexes. God’s plan set the difference between male and female and that the “head of man is Christ and the head of woman is man”. (1 Cor.11:3). We reflect this by the way we dress and in our attitude. We are taught to be obedient and to have respect for lawful authority, submitting to the order God has established . This is why women are expected to wear dresses and cover there heads, not only when they come to Church but whenever possible, with the men dressing appropriately as well.

How much to loyalty is Christ to you? More than ever before modesty and attitude affrim our stand for our Faith and the natural order of creation. Our stand is against the general attitude of revolt, which has gradually invaded every country on earth over the years. Choice can mean the right to go against God’s laws.

There is not a denial that man and woman compliment each other; and, yes, they are equal in their own particular sphere. But the Equal Rights Amendment and other unnatural doctrines are in opposition to the order established by God, because it denies there is an order. It also destroys the Christian Family, the basic social and stablizing unit of society. To accept these “rights” create legal battles in areas where there were none before : Which name is taken in matrimony? Divorce. Who gets child custody? Who pays alimony and child support? Do the terms “husband and wife” have any legal distinction? What about Same sex marriages? What would happen if both parents are drafted and die in combat? Within a civilized Christian Society these questions would not arise since the existence is impossible. The wife is united to the man, a tie which cannot “put asunder”, and who will die to protect the wife from these horrors. We must object to Caesar being put in the place of God.

Let us continue, then, to wear the believer’s armor, the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of justice, the shield of faith. (cf. Eph.6, 11f). With this example we will help direct the hearts of the unbelivers and the believers gone astray. By this, we give testimony and show the world that WE ARE REALLY the children of God. Grace be with you, in Christ, Joseph
