In Bishop Mckenna’s newsletter, “Catholics Forever,” issue 79 July 1989 was entitled, “Bishops’ Declaration.” where on page 2 declaration number # 8 of 15 is stated, “It is incumbent on us as Catholic Bishops to defend and maintain the infallible and unchanged Magisterium of the Church. In view of what we have here stated, the duty of Catholics is clear. They must altogether repudiate the Second Vatican Council and it’s false Popes, together with the Bishops and priests subject to them. The apostle warns us to have no part in the sins of others, (Rom. 1:32). The era introduced by the Council has the marks of the great apostasy to precede the advent of the Antichrist, foretold by the same Apostle in his second epistle to the Thessalonians.”
At the end of of the newsletter and the 15 declarations you have five of the Bishops indorsing the declaration of, Bishop McKenna, J. Vida Elmer, Oliver Oravec, Richard Bedingfield and Abbot John Hesson.
You would have thought by 1989 a truer understanding of the situation was more apparent, that first, it became obvious that there was more than one AntiChrist and if anything he brings in the great apostasy with the Vatican II Council and all these others are just successors of the reign of the Man of Sin which terminates in Christ’s return.
As I keep stating that the Church has always taught “no Pope no Church,” and that the only time this could happen in the Church is during the End Times where the AntiChrists take over St. Peters chair, just as Jesus took Moses chair away from the High Priest and gave it to a fisherman, St. Peter. None of us at the time of (pope) Paul were aware that the Great Apostasy would last 40 to 50 years. And again, the main problem which is still causing division among the faithful.
In Christ, Joseph
