Archbishop Justin Welby hopes for fixed Easter date
The Archbishop of Canterbury is working with other Christian churches to agree on a fixed date for Easter.
Justin Welby made the announcement after a meeting of primates from the Anglican Communion in Canterbury.
In the UK, an act of Parliament passed in 1928 allowed for Easter Sunday to be fixed on the first Sunday after the second Saturday in April.
However, this has never been activated and Easter has remained variable, determined by the moon’s cycle. MORE
Anglicans sanction US Episcopal Church over gay marriage
Anglican leaders on Thursday temporarily restricted the role of the U.S. Episcopal Church in their global fellowship as a sanction over the American church’s acceptance of gay marriage.
Episcopalians have been barred for three years from any policy-setting positions in the Anglican Communion while a task force is formed that will try to reconcile conflicting views over sexuality in the 85-million-member family of churches. Methodist pension board bars investment in 5 Israeli banks
NEW YORK — The pension fund for the United Methodist Church has blocked five Israeli banks from its investment portfolio in what it describes as a broad review meant to weed out companies that profit from abuse of human rights.
The fund, called the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits, excluded Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi, First International Bank of Israel, Israel Discount Bank, and Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, according to the pension board’s website. MORE

Sisters Mary Bernadette and Maria Lines CMRI who have been on mission in the Boston, MA. area for the last 15 years have finally got enough money to purchase this church and are trying to get the renovations completed in time for Easter.

This helps enforces my premise what some of the causes that set him, Farook, off to perform these mass killings is America’s adoption of sinful life styles being promoted by the Obama administration. President Obama’s attitude towards enforcing this homosexual life style on the world is a slap in the face for all God loving peoples. If anything he is doing more to help recruit fighters for Isis and other terrorist groups than Donald Trump is with Donald’s position of banning Muslims from America. The news media and most Americans are turning a blind eye to these facts because it suits their liberal life styles. This is the sad state of our country today.
