Dear Reader:

I wish everyone a most blessed Feast of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Without the Resurrection, that is, without a future life, Darwin and de Chardin would be right, one’s life would only be “a survival of the fittest” as witnessed by the world in the vain attempts to survive a few days more through transplants (a decision determining one’s life is more important than another—but Continue reading

This Muslim Country Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Easter

shutterstock_378940489.sized-770x415xcWhile Christians in some parts of the Middle East are being driven out of their ancestral lands and killed for their faith, one Gulf nation is trying to make Easter colorful for its Christian expat community.

Islam is the official religion in the United Arab Emirates, and apostasy is officially a crime. But the country that thinks “go big or go home” for every other holiday isn’t about to miss out on the season of bunnies and Peeps. MORE

A review by Mari Gaudio of my latest novel – “Marrano

Dear Friends, I am enclosing a recent book review by Mari Gaudio of my latest novel – “Marrano – A Novel of Faith, Mystery, Murder and Mayhem at the Vatican,” which is available at www.newengelpublishing.com. God bless, Randy Engel

Book Review of Marrano by Mari Gaudio 3/22/2016

When I began reading Marrano, I expected to read a standard fabricated plot inhabited by cardboard characters set between the Bronx, New York and Vatican City. Instead, I was drawn into an intriguing plot, made possible by the author’s gift for rendering a scene filled with wonderful visual details, and memorable characters like Monsignor Tony Morello – a parish priest and former Marine, Continue reading

Pope Francis to wash feet of young refugees on Holy Thursday

ANSA977065_ArticoloPope Francis will wash the feet of young refugees during an Easter Week ritual in a gesture high in symbolism inside the Catholic Church and beyond.

The Vatican didn’t say Tuesday if non-Catholics would be among the 12 refugees participating in the Holy Thursday rite at an asylum center in Castelnuovo di Porto, north of Rome. But women will almost certainly be involved, and a Vatican official, Archbishop Rino Fisichella, noted that most of the center’s residents are non-Catholic. MORE

SISTERTThe Obama administration has been unrelenting in its fight to force a group of Catholic nuns to violate their beliefs and pay for abortion-causing drugs and contraception, arguing that they are essential health care services.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard an appeal from the Little Sisters of the Poorand 37 other religious groups to stop the Obama administration from forcing them to comply with Obamacare’s abortion mandate. The mandate compels religious groups to pay for birth control, drugs that may cause abortions and sterilization. Without relief, the Little Sisters would face millions of dollars in IRS fines MORE

The Man Who Promoted Heresy for Fifty Years Now Claims It Was a “Deep Hole”
From: The TRADITIO Fathers

On March 16, 2016, Benedict-Ratzinger, disgraced and abdicated Newpope, publicly stated that the Vatican II Anti-council (1962-1965) had brought Newchurch into a “deep crisis.” Ratzinger, who was a full throated supporter of the heretical Vatican II Anti-council, which in 1964 replaced the Catholic Church with the anti-Catholic Newchurch of the New Order, is now, on the verge of his own death, having second thoughts about his role in destroying the Catholic Church as the institutional Church.
