Catholics build ‘intentional’ community of like-minded believers

minded believersThis is great and what traditional Catholics should strive for.

At a time of declining church attendance across America and growing disenchantment with traditional religion, a Catholic parish in Hyattsville, Md., thrives by embracing the very orthodoxy other congregations have abandoned.

St. Jerome Catholic Church and its affiliated school, St. Jerome Academy, have both experienced dramatic growth over the past few years, largely due to an influx of families drawn to the parish’s reputation as a haven for conservative Catholics seeking to live among others who share their values. IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED

maxresdefaultby Joseph Saraceno

We know God created us. The Church tells us that He wants us to know Him to love Him and to serve Him in this world and in the next. Not that God needs to have anyone to know He exists, but that we creatures might be able to share His love and goodness. This could give a probable cause for creation. Continue reading

Week of the Creation, Happy Birthday World, Adam and Good Friday.

Days-of-Creation-A1This year April 9 starts the week of the creation by the solar calendar and spring full moon. However this Passover full moon is two days off, landing on Tuesday instead of Thursday for the last supper. So this year the creation week starts on 9th and Adam’s birth or his creation day would fall on Good Friday the 14.  Ex:12. The reading  on Good Friday,  Holy SaturdayGen: 1.How ironic that our Lord would die on the day He created Adam. Some say that they were both buried in the same area but I can’t vouch for that. GREEThe below article written by Father Andre M. Greeley in his book, “The Making of the Popes,”  states that the Fatima secret had to do with World War III has some credibility as you will recollect that Pope John 23 did open the door for dialogue with Communist Russia, and during the Cuban crisis it was reported that Pope John 23 intervened with helping cool Russia down.  Continue reading
