April 21, 2018 ~ Saint Anselm, opn!
Dear Reader:
Next week I will return to the thesis on Sacrament of Confirmation, concluding the treatise on Mary, Co-Redemptrix, in this issue. In between, on April 25 the Church will be asking Divine intervention as she prays the Litanies and processes through the streets. You may say this is now rarely done, and this may be true. Still, it is part of the Church Tradition and it is wonderful in those communities where it is still possible. The spirit of the liturgy will continue to be that of asking God’s divine intervention that we may be protected from natural disasters, wars, pestilence and famine. Continue reading
X Father Malachi Martin was on the Art Bell show one night talking about the Fatima Secret, the Vatican II Council. I listened to it for over two hours, then he tells everybody he took a vow to never reveal it.
We will get a true pope again some day.
I wrote an article of what he said on the show if anyone is interested.

Three parents whose children were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012 filed a defamation lawsuit on Tuesday against Alex Jones, the right-wing conspiracy theorist who has long claimed the shooting was “completely fake” and a “giant hoax” perpetrated by opponents of the Second Amendment. Funny how the U.S. coordinated the attack during the Octave of a Syrian Pope.
Anicetus was a Syrian from Emesa. He became pope about 155 and actively opposed Marcionism and Gnosticism. His pontificate saw the appearance of the controversy between East and West over the date of Easter. St. Polycarp, a discipleof John, is reported to have visited him in Rome about the dispute, which was to accelerate and grow more heated over the following centuries. MORE

Amid the discussion triggered by Capuchin Father Thomas Weinandy’s recent decision to go public with a critical letter to Pope Francis, one well-known Catholic writer dismissed Weinandy’s claim that Catholics are “scandalized” by the pontiff, saying, “Bosh. Francis is probably the most popular pope in history.” MORE
It was the second time in as many days that Francis has warned about the destructive work of the devil after making headlines recently by seeming to deny the existence of hell. MORE

The Blood of Martyrs Is the Seed of Christians
Movie review of Paul, Apostle of Christ
Fr. Paul Alvarez
The film is based on the Acts of the Apostles, which Catholic Tradition has always accepted as canonical and has always attributed to St. Luke. Only some heretical sects, such as the Ebionites, Marcionitas and Manichaeans, denied the authenticity of this book. Thus they rejected St. Paul’s teaching in its whole or parts. Continue reading
An initiative in San Antonio has brought together clergy from different faiths to find a solution for affordable housing in a city where 19 percent of residents live at or below the poverty line. MORE

In times past when the Church had a true Shepherd—one might remember that Pius XII was called Pastor Angelicus— Continue reading
Believe it or not. I watched this movie when I was a teenager and the one song they play was “Again” I forgot the name but the tune never left me. It took me awhile to put the song with the right picture together but finally found it and I was able to watch mostly all of it last night on the computer. Of course I fast forward some scenes which were not necessary to watch still took 45 min.
