Updated | In April, as her family in central Israel prepared to celebrate Independence Day, Rachel Ohal was preparing for what she calls “every Israeli’s dream.” The next morning, she awoke in her home in Los Angeles and drove to a ceremony to become an American citizen. She is one of at least 1 million Israelis residing in the United States. And if Israel—home to 8.8 million people—doesn’t change course, many more may soon join her. MORE

Federal court blocks Arizona law excluding Israel boy-cotters from contracts

News Brief This is a Jewish newspaper

(JTA) — A federal court blocked an Arizona law requiring state contractors to certify that they will not boycott Israel, finding that the law likely violates the contractors’ free speech rights.

“A restriction of one’s ability to participate in collective calls to oppose Israel unquestionably burdens the protected expression of companies wishing to engage in such a boycott,” District Court Judge Diane Humetewa wrote in Thursday’s order blocking the law. MORE

At Mass they say the confiteor twice, once for the religious and then for the laity. This comes from the two witnesses

Enoch was married, Elias not so.  Jesus and John the Baptist were the two witnesses in their day.  Which brought about the end of the Jewish customs for Christianity. The Jews expected Elias to return during the Passover but they forgot about Enoch.

Since Roe V’s Wade the Religious community of our country have tried numerous ways to reverse Abortions from boycotting clinics, driving up insurance costs, imposing stiff regulations and preaching to the individuals. Apparition of St. Michael

He also presents our prayers to God (Incensation at High Mass), conquers demons (Prayers after low Mass) and pleads for us sinners (Confiteor)

The glorious Archangel Michael appears today at the head of the heavenly army—There was a great battle in Heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought with his angels (Apoc. 12: 7). This festival has been kept with great solemnity on the 29th of September ever since the fifth century, and was certainly celebrated in Apulia in 493, MORE

The latest attack on Islam: It’s not a religion

From the fringes. Can’t believe this.

Religious liberty has become a particularly politicized topic in recent years, and recent months were no different. In a long-awaited June decision, the Supreme Court decided in favor of a Christian baker who refused to make a custom wedding cake for a gay couple.
