These are the first sisters to attain the rank of general, Army says

Gee, I hope they are in charge of woman soldiers.

It isn’t surprising that Maj. Gen. Maria Barrett, 53, and Brig. Gen. Paula Lodi, 51, have climbed some of the highest ranks in the Army, the women’s brother Rus Lodi told USA Today. The sisters, who he dubbed “leadership junkies,” always amazed the family and have been a “great source of pride” for the family, he said. MORE

Excuse me my CMRI Friend on Pope John XXIII

That I know of, this is one “simony”  accusation in the last 50 years was never made public among Traditional Catholics. So please, tell me your source and what CMRI Father’s agree with these accusations towards pope John XXIII???  What about our Bishop? I never heard him say anything on it this.

Do I understand you correctly that pope John XXIII bought or paid to be pope?

My visit to Holy Cross Cemetery

On August 22, 1937, I was a 15th month old baby. After a rainy day, my Dad took us on a picnic somewhere near Boston. My brother Ed was sitting in front. In the backseat sat my Mom, brother Pete and holding me, was my sister Carmelina.

The bridge had an interesting feature. In those days, it had trolley tracks. Driving over the bridge, because of the precipitation, made the trolley tracks slippery as glass. Crossing over, losing traction and hydroplaning caused the car to spin out of control. Wildly, the vehicle and all of us inside, barreled over the side of the bridge.
