Many of the products people use in the U.S. are manufactured abroad, so the coronavirus-related factory shutdowns in China, India and elsewhere could have ripple effects on the availability of these items here soon — if they haven’t already. Even some products that are manufactured domestically are in short supply as manufacturing facilities struggle to keep up with unexpectedly high demands. Amid these supply chain issues, empty store shelves and out-of-stock items on major retailers’ websites have become the new normal. VIDEO

April 24th was my Mom’s birthday and she’s buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City about 12 miles away. I decided to go visit on Sunday the 26th because of a heavy workload.

Generally I go to a special market where they have nice flowers at a good price but because I got up a little late I decided to get something to eat in Culver City near this market where I could get the Flowers. So, after lunch, I went into the market and started looking over the flowers and had a difficult time picking out what I liked. One of the employees noticed I was going around and around at the display of flowers asking if she could help me. I told her I was having a difficult time choosing, where she inquired, “Is it for a birthday, a friend?” and I immediately said it’s for a cemetery, where she asked, “Holy Cross?” 
“Yes, that’s right,” I said.
“Oh they’re closed.”
In a shocking turn of events, she clarified, “Over this virus thing.”

Well, I thanked her for saving me time and money, but the next day I had second thoughts. Maybe I should have gone there to make sure, so I decided to call, and sure as hell they told me it was closed. How a cemetery could be a threat to anyone in those open spaces, is beyond me. In Christ, Joseph

In the Name of the Father, and of the Sun, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Father began the sermon by reciting the Hail Mary

“Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory, which, overcometh the world, our faith”. My dear faithful, we are still in the midst of this strange situation and without getting into the particulars of it, because people are looking for certain answers in this situation. They are looking for causes and they’re looking for cures. Well, we do that in different ways; as for the causes there are immediate causes, there are more distant causes, approximate causes, remote causes, whatever you want to say, to whatever extent you believe that this virus is in itself the cause of our troubles, fine. But the problem is, it isn’t exactly itself the cause of our current situation. It is the reason for our current situation. You can’t deny that.

My friend Jan – who was reared in the Conciliar Church – did not know that the Wednesday in Holy Week was always called “Spy Wednesday” or “Wednesday of the Betrayal” in Catholic countries. “Spy” refers to Judas, who on that day betrayed Our Lord and delivered Him to the Jews for 30 coins of silver. The new coronavirus is quickly destroyed by sunlight, according to new research announced by a senior US official on Thursday, though the study has not yet been made public and awaits external evaluation. MORE

Beginning April 22, we make a Novena of Prayers for Consecration to Saint Joseph. The consecration takes place on May 1, the Feast Day of Saint Joseph the Worker. With this, we seal ourselves as his children. We place into his fatherly protection ourselves, our families, our jobs and ministries, and the Church. We also consecrate to his fatherhood those who are not following Christ, especially our own family members, because Joseph’s desire in heaven is that all of his children love his son, Jesus, and follow him to everlasting life. We pray that they will learn from the pandemic what Father God is teaching, turn away from sin, turn to Christ, and embrace the Holy Eucharist.
