Ordination to the Diaconate

On the feast of St. Isaac Jogues and Companions, September 26, Rev. Timothy Geckle was ordained to the diaconate; his ordination comes in an important time as he can assist at the distribution of Holy Communion, especially at Sunday Masses and take care of sick calls to the infirm in our parish. This October 31, 2016, the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) awarded Card. Karl Lehmann, Bishop of Mainz, with the Martin Luther Medal, above. The ceremony took place in St. Mary’s Church (the Marienkirche) in Berlin. Lehmann is the first Catholic to receive this medal.
From 2008 to 2016, the year commemorating the 500th anniversary of Luther’s revolt, the EKD council has awarded this medal annually in a high-profile public ceremony. Its goal is to thank those who have made outstanding services for the Protestant cause in either a professional or honorary capacity. MORE
A Practical Solution to the Israeli Palestine Conflict
The proposal I’m making is to make a NEW COUNTRY out of the three different States of Gaza, the West Bank and Israel. It would be fashioned like the United States of America. This United States of Israel and Palestinian States, would draw up a new constitution, a federal flag, with each state adopting their own flag and the religion they chose to follow and go from there. I must say that I am truly grateful that Clinton was not elected President. The path that the Rainbow House had set was truly not one of peace but persecution for those opposed to its anti-Christ agenda.
