This Sunday’s Gospel –  First Sunday of Advent

Again as I explained for the last Sunday after Pentecost. St Luke does not go in depth as does St. Matthew  24:34

Luke 21:25-33
[25] And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, by reason of the confusion of the roaring of the sea and of the waves;[26] Men withering away for fear, and expectation of what shall come upon the whole world. For the powers of heaven shall be moved; [27] And then they shall see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with great power and majesty. [28] But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is at hand. [29] And he spoke to them in a similitude. See the fig tree, and all the trees: [30] When they now shoot forth their fruit, you know that summer is nigh;

One helpful solution for the homeless

One helpful solution for the homeless would be to start an adoption program like the foster care system that we have for children.At least 25% of the homeless lack sufficient funds to pay today’s rental fees.

There are plenty of single seniors who have enough room to house another person. If they so desire, they could apply with the social service people who in turn screen those homeless who apply for these services for a compatible mate. This would also be a less cost effective means to help solve the homeless problem.

Trump signs animal cruelty act into law

PETA Twitter: No mention: https://twitter.com/peta Maybe they’re having an identity crisis. Now that Trump gives the liberal animal activists what they want, perhaps they’re rethinking their strategy. Instead, saying; ‘Maybe we should kill the animals. Serves him right!’ PETA has killed more than 36,000 animals since 1998 ~ https://www.petakillsanimals.com/

President Donald Trump signed a bill that makes animal cruelty a federal felony on Monday, saying the measure would help us be “more responsible and humane stewards of our planet.” MORE

Matt: 24-[21] For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be. [22] And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened. [23] Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him. [24] For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, (Many) and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. [25] Behold I have told it to you, beforehand.[26] If therefore they shall say to you: Behold he is in the desert, go ye not out: Behold he is in the closets, believe it not. [27] For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be. [28] Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the eagles also be gathered together. [29] And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be moved: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man (A cross) in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn: and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with much power and majesty.
