SALTON CITY, Calif., Sept. 27 (UPI) — Almost 200 earthquakes were recorded in Southern California’s Salton Sea in roughly a 24-hour period, geologists said Tuesday.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the quakes that began Monday and persisted throughout the day. The strongest quake had a magnitude of 4.3, officials said.
Most of the earthquakes were small but three had a magnitude of 4.0 or greater and nine of at least 3.0, the USGS said. MORE
If there were any doubt as to just how toxic sectarian politics has become in the Middle East, the latest statement from the leader of the Iran-backed Lebanese Shia militant group Hezbollah should clear things right up.
Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of a group that has been fighting Israel for decades, declared on Tuesday that “Wahhabism is more evil than Israel,” Lebanon’s Al Akhbar newspaper reported. MORE
This is becoming a growing movement. To much corruption in the Religions everywhere.
(RNS) 1976 was, Timemagazine declared, “the year of the born-again Christian.” “Born-agains” were the hot demographic in American religion, and one of them, Jimmy Carter, won the presidency.
Though no one could know it at the time, we were entering an era of movement politics unprecedented in American history. Religious conservatives of all stripes, but especially white evangelicals and Mormons, made the Republican Party their own and turned “the social issues” — abortion and gay rights above all — into markers of partisan identity. Boone Pickens doesn’t always get things right. He has over the last several years made a habit of trying to predict what the price of crude oil is going to be in the future in these interviews, and I’m sure he’d admit he’s been pretty consistently wrong in those projections. But on this particular topic, Pickensis absolutely, 100% correct,a realitythe President’s media defenders can’t really do anything to change. MORE

Dear Reader:
Here in Las Vegas there are two music festivals this weekend: Life is Beautiful and iHeart. I cannot vouch for the iHeart, but the Life is Beautiful festival which, as the Church is in the middle of it, I can comment on having witnessed the event. It seems sad that the people of this world want happiness yet irrationally seek it in what can never bring happiness: Evilness. The perverseness of misery is such that one can have a perverse happiness in enjoying evil. The art is not an expression of peacefulness, of truth, of joy and uplifting—it expresses the emptinessand soul except for the
Foolishness is the result of a person misusing the intelligence God has given him. A fool uses his reasoning skills to make wrong decisions. The most basic type of foolishness is denying God’s existence or saying “no” to God (Psalm 14:1). The Bible associates folly with a quick temper (Proverbs 14:16–17), perverse speech (Proverbs 19:1), and disobedience to parents (Proverbs 15:5). We are born with an innate foolishness, but discipline will help train us in wisdom (Proverbs 22:15). Continue reading →
Well here you have it my friends. Life Site News is just now seeing what transpired as a result of the Vatican II Council. This council was called to bring ALL the religions together but to do that Jesus had to be reduced to a mere prophet. Not God man. To do this and suck the other religions into the trap the Councillors made Biblical changes Starting with the American Bible when they changed Isaiah (7:14): from “A virgin shall CONCEIVE,” to a young woman is with child. LOUISVILLE — A Family Court judge who routinely presides over gay adoptions said that gay marriage is an “oxymoron” like “jumbo shrimp” or a “magnificent Chihuahua.”
Appearing before a religious group, Fayette Circuit Court Judge Tim Philpot said he loves homosexuals but their relationships are “sterile” and “just entertainment.”
Addressing the Francis Asbury Society in Wilmore, Ky., on Sept. 8, Philpot called the Supreme Court’s decision last year legalizing gay marriage “pretty close to insane” and warned that “there is no question that polygamy is on the way.” MORE
