Fr. Starbuck did the funeral and gave a talk on Purgatory. 

First time I had a German Shepard lying at my feet at Church. She? was a service dog.

After Mass I hung out at the front door to say hello to whomever was left from the past. Then Fr. Starbuck came out and started talking to some people just 4 feet from me so I moved in on the conservation and heard him saying. “Never in my life have I ever experienced what is going on today.” So, I jumped right in and said. “THAT’S BECAUSE WE’RE LIVING IN APOCALYPTIC TIMES.”  Then he graciously left into the hall. He looks like he weighs about 110 pounds. SAD. He seemed glad to see me though.

I did explain to four or five people that I was the one who got Fr. now Msgr Perez to start the building fund. First, I went to Fr. Schell about it and he said NO WAY. We were having Mass in a Middle school auditorium at the time. So, when I saw that Msgr had been accepted as Father Schell’s replacement, I told him what Fr. Schell said and recommend he ask Father if he could start a building fund and Father Schell said O.K. but he had no part in it.  When we found this property, we needed 900 thousand for the down payment. That’s where the Odom’s came in. They had the Padre Pio school and used its property as part of the building fund for the 900 thousand. At least, this is what I remember. Our Lady Help of Christians do not have a Bishop, that I know of and use sspx for confirmations. They need our prayers.
