We beseech Thee, O Lord, through the intercession of They martyr, St. John the Baptist, look down upon thy people that they may be strengthened unto piety, obtain the remission of their sins, be delivered from the Devil and his deceits, be filled with the Holy Ghost, and obtain life everlasting. Amen.

Behold I send my angel before thy face, who shall prepare the way before thee, a voice of one crying in the desert. Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight His paths.

For he shall be great before the Lord: and shall drink no wine nor strong drink and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost even from his mother’s womb, he shall convert many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, and he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias; that he may turn the hearts of the fathers unto the children and the skeptical to the wisdom of the just, to prepare for the Lord a perfect people. 

Behold the Lamb of God, behold Him who taketh away the sin of the world. Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is a hand. (for you) June 24 — Nativity.
