“The children of light constitute the most conspicuous part of humanity, while the children of darkness represent an absolute minority.” 
Not true, corruption is at just about all levels of society, from Rome to Washington, so the children of darkness actually represent the majority. The other side is just the lessor of two evils. God is allowing this as a show of discontent to the sins of the world.
