US opens 1st permanent military base in Israel

Will the U.S. Embassy be next? Or (pope) Francis?

Even though the US has routinely deployed forces to Israel, it is only now opening an official permanent military base in the country. The move, largely seen as symbolic, is meant to send a strong message to Israel’s enemies.

It will be a “base within a base,” located inside the Israeli Air Force’s Mashabim Air Base in the middle of the Negev desert, close to a US military radar installation east of Dimona that tracks ballistic missiles. MORE

Was Paddock’s Killing Racial and Anti-Establishment?

Paddock’s life had very little meaning. No religion, didn’t seem affiliated with any particular groups. I notice that his previous wife of 5 years was Japanese’s or at least had a Japanese name. He had many skills and good paying jobs, one of which was an accountant.
I’m sure Paddock was well aware that Las Vegas was originally controlled by Mormons and then became partners with the Jewish Mob’s in the 40’s. So without a doubt he was aware that minorities were discriminated against and for the most part not wanted in Las Vegas.

Dubai dreams of flying taxis darting among its skyscrapers

With a whirling buzz from 18 rotors, the pilotless helicopter gently lifted off the ground and soared up into the afternoon sky, the spire of the world’s tallest building visible behind it.

The recent unmanned flight by the German-made electric Volocopter represents the latest step in Dubai’s pursuit of flying taxis, which would not seem out of place among the Gulf city’s already futuristic skyline — imagine “Blade Runner,” with less rain. MORE

Bernie Sanders did damage Clinton

Hillary Clinton has finally taken the gloves off and spoke her mind about her Democratic presidential rival, Bernie Sanders.

She flatly charged that Sanders hurt her White House bid. She got very specific and claimed that the “lasting damage” he did to her campaign did much to put President Donald Trump in the Oval Office. MORE

Bernie Sanders Says He Would Consider Cutting U.S. Military Aid to Israel, Improve Ties With Iran

Senator and former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said in an interview published Friday that the United States should “play a much more evenhanded role” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and that, under certain circumstances, he would consider reducing the yearly $3.1 billion in military aid provided by the U.S. to Israel, part of a record $38 billion package over the coming decade. Kneel during the national anthem, the continuation of a tradition?

Maybe so but the Tradition changed.
DETROIT (AP) — When football players kneel during the national anthem, Mark Clague sees the continuation of a tradition as old as the song itself.
The University of Michigan musicology professor and expert on “The Star-Spangled Banner” said the song has been a channel for protest since at least 1844, three decades after Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics during a pivotal battle against the British in the War of 1812. MORE

The old maxim is entirely true; as goes the Church, so goes the world.

The old maxim is entirely true; as goes the Church, so goes the world. One can plainly see today’s world is completely falling apart and at every level. Logic and reasoning, gone, the weather conditions and Chaos around the world.

Relax folks: Fr. Robert Barron has it all figured out

There’s no need to get all worked up over this “gay marriage” thing. Fr. Robert Barron has it all figured out: “We’ve been here before.”

The war on men

…When I ask them why, the answer is always the same.

Women aren’t women anymore.

To say gender relations have changed dramatically is an understatement. Ever since the sexual revolution, there has been a profound overhaul in the way men and women interact. Men haven’t changed much – they had no revolution that demanded it – but women have changed dramatically. MORE
