$50,000 salary is now ‘low income’ in Los Angeles county

Low income isn’t what it used to be.

Under new income limits from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, a person living in Los Angeles County who earns $50,500 a year would qualify for low-income housing.

The 2017 median annual income for a Los Angeles County resident is $64,300, according to a new estimate by HUD, and people who earn 80 percent of that ($50,500) are eligible for housing assistance. Others who earn 50 percent of the median income ($31,550) are deemed “very low income” and county residents who earn $18,950 are placed in the “extremely low income limits” category. MORE

Print all In new window Joe Biden, ” Never thought she was a great candidate, on Hillary

“I never thought she was a great candidate,” Biden said, according to reports. “I thought I was a great candidate.” Biden clarified, according to CNN, that “Hillary would have been a really good president.” But that isn’t likely to make Clinton supporters feel much better. Biden isn’t the first leading Democratic figure with possible designs on 2020 to apparently slight Clinton. MORE

Prince Harry’s bride to be Jewish?

The Church of England has ruled that Prince Harry can marry his American actress girlfriend Meghan Markle at London’s historic Westminster Abbey, despite her being both a divorcee and having a “Jewish background,” the UK’s Express newspaper reported on Sunday.

A Westminster Abbey spokesman said: “The Abbey follows the General Synod Ruling of 2002. Since then it has been possible for divorced people to be married in the Church of England.” MORE

“Vatican-Moscow Agreement” & St. Michael prayers after Mass The Angelus 1988

The Angelus ~ June 1988 ~ Vol,  XI, No. 6

Ask Me…
answers given by Father Carl Pulvermacher

Q. Could the “Vatican-Moscow Agreement”—as acknowledged by The Fatima Crusader magazine been the reason why Archbishop Lefebvre’s and the other 450 prelates’ petition for a Council condemnation of Communism was silenced? (R. R., Metairie, LA)

A. Most people know nothing of this “Vatican-Moscow Agreement.” Pope John’s legate, Cardinal Tisserant, and K.G.B. Patriarch Nikodim of Russia negotiated that Vatican II and Rome would not condemn Communism, in exchange for the Russian Orthodox sending delegates to the Council (Vat. II). In “Apologia I” by Michael Davies, Archbishop Lefebvre says (p. 151) “The Pastoral Council which brought together 2,350 Bishops said not a word, in spite of the 450 signatures of Fathers demanding a condemnation, which I myself took to Msgr. Felici, Secretary of the Council, together with Msgr. Sigaud, Archbishop of Diamantina.” Continue reading

Problem here is, he’s not a Pope.  I hope the last AntiChrist.

Will Pope Francis I be the last pontiff, following his selection and the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI? Two vague prophecies, from St. Malachy and Nostradamus, say so.

St. Malachy, a 12th century Roman Catholic, and Nostradamus, the world-renowned 16th-century French oracle, predicted that Pope Francis I will be the world’s last pontiff. MORE

Lúcia started writing her memoirs in 1941

That’s a long time after the visions to disclose these messages.
The younger children died in the 1918-19 European influenza pandemic. Their cousin, Lúcia, whose beatification process began in 2008, died in 2005 at age 97. The Virgin is said to have confided three secrets to the children, which were not written down until 1941, when Lúcia started writing her memoirs.
The first two secrets were interpreted as foretelling a world war and the dangers of Soviet Communism. The third secret was long kept a mystery, but the sanctuary’s importance grew after Pope John Paul II credited the Virgin of Fátima with saving his life when Mehmet Ali Agca, a Turkish gunman, tried to kill him on May 13, 1981, the anniversary of the visions.
