Father Joseph Colletti – February 12, 2017 Septuagesima Sunday
“And they shall defile the sanctuary and shall take away the continual sacrifice, and they shall place there the abomination unto desolation.”
The words of God prophesied through the mouth of the Prophet Daniel, Chapter 11, verse 31.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
My dear and beloved faithful,
In the last and recent Mindszenty report, the front page reads: Target: The Catholic Church, subtitle, Social Justice Warriors Push the Church to the Leftists.
Cultural Warfare
While the leftists have lost in the recent national election, thanks be to God, the war on culture continues. It continues to engage the Catholic Church in their camp by attacking the Church as an institution both human and Divine, along with the traditional doctrine that would undoubtedly be the great takeover on their part. These leftist warriors include liberal forerunners, Catholic laymen, and of course, the International Leftist as he is called, Pope Bergoglio himself. With the Pope’s selection of the seventeen cardinals last November, his particular selection was deliberate. On record the seventeen cardinals are full progressive social justice leftist warriors, especially the two leading American cardinals. This is all within the plan, the plan to subvert the Catholic Church by the progressive liberal leftists and including Margaret Sanger, George Soros and Will Durant, just to name a few.
For one, George Soros knows that the Catholic Church stands in his way of his goal, making the New World Order happen, together with the other American leftists who themselves know that the Catholic Church is the great bulwark against radical change. This movement in particular is against our culture, our education, our religion, our morality. The Church isn’t a democracy or a political society that the leftists are trying very hard to make. Subvertants tend the gate of the Catholic Church brazenly laying hands even on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the form of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist; the form of that Sacrament that would become the very Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ through the miracle of Transubstantiation, through those sacred words of the formula given by Our Lord. The Consecration of the Mass is where Jesus Christ Himself becomes the propitiatory sacrifice, slain and crucified on Calvary represented on our very altars in an unbloody sacrifice.
Satanic Warfare
The subversive attack on Catholic Mass is just one of the chief aims for these subversive and satanic individuals. The brazen attack on the form of the Holy Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is the attack on Jesus Christ Himself and the very words that He spoke and passed on to the apostles down through apostolic tradition. The brazen attack on the form of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is the ultimate insult; it is none other than a satanic warfare. What is the form of the Holy Eucharist? What is the form of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist? The form of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist are the words, the very formula spoken by Jesus Christ that every ordained Catholic priest must recite in their entirety to effect a valid Consecration, a valid Mass, and for Transubstantiation to take place. This began with Jesus Christ Himself and His apostles which has been recorded down through apostolic tradition; in other words, Divine Revelation. At the Ecumenical Council of Florence in 1438 to 1445, one hundred years before the Council of Trent, the Council of Florence decreed in 1442 the exact formula for the validity of the Consecration. This was binding in heaven and on earth, and ratified by the late Pope Eugene IV. Here is what the Council decreed:
“In the Consecration of the Body and Blood of the Lord, the Holy Roman Church confirmed by the teaching and authority of the apostles Peter and Paul, which has always been a custom to be used, we have deemed that it should be inserted here. In the Consecration of the Body, the Church uses this form of the words: “For This Is My Body”, Hoc est enim corpus meum. But in the Consecration of the Blood it uses the following form of words: “For This is the Chalice of My Blood of the New and Eternal
Testament, the Mystery of Faith which shall be shed for you and for many unto the remission of sins”; the Consecrating formula necessary for validity. The Latin text of the Traditional Mass matches exactly that English text. The Council of Florence had to do something about this because for 1500 years there was no question about the formula. And of course all of a sudden you know what happened in the 15th Century, the Protestant Revolution. And so they had to address that in a very defining way. Now, as for the Novus Ordo over the wine, this is what is said: This is the chalice of My Blood, the Blood of the New and Eternal Covenant which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of Me. Did you catch something there? The phrase “Mystery of Faith” isn’t there! It is omitted. It is deliberately omitted. Why? Simply to invalidate the sacrifice, to invalidate the Mass, the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, to invalidate the Real Presence of Jesus Christ.
Mysterium fidei, the Mystery of Faith: that means seeing with the eyes of faith the Blood of Christ veiled under the species of wine. Something is believed there other than what is seen. Similarly something is seen to be present there other than what is believed; for the species of bread and wine are perceived but in truth the Body and Blood of Christ is believed and that is truly what we believe as Catholics. This is central to our Catholic faith; this is central to the central mystery of our salvation. Pope Innocent III taught that the theological significance of the words “mystery of faith”, mysterium fidei, in the Consecration formula that are to be recited express the doctrine of the real presence of Jesus Christ, the true Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ and the Sacrament of the altar. So it is not only Transubstantiation that occurs here by the sacred words in the formula of the Consecration over the wine but also the real presence of Jesus Christ is here and remains here for us in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist in the Tabernacle.
At the Consecration, the species of Bread and Wine are perceived, yes, but what is believed is the truth that this is the Body and Blood of Christ, and also the effect of the Holy Eucharist, the unity and love that unites us to Christ and one another in Christ’s mystical body, PRO VOBIS ET PRO MULTIS, FOR YOU AND FOR MANY. That is the third element in the Consecration. So first there is Transubstantiation, second, there is the Doctrine of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ, and third, there is the effect of the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, Holy Communion, which is the unity and love of one another in the Mystical Body united to Christ, the Head. A Master Plan of Warfare Against the Eucharist What becomes of Novus Ordo? Ouch! Without the Eucharist we do not exist; without the Eucharist we do not exist as a Church. The words The Mystery of Faith are deleted in the Novus Ordo in the Consecration formula. That is a blatant crime — that is a brazen denial of the real presence of Jesus Christ. Therefore there is no sacrifice, there is no sacrament, there is no Mass because of the omission of the words Mystery of Faith, Mysterium fidei, those words given by Christ to the Apostles and passed down through apostolic tradition. These very words were codified in 1442 by the Ecumenical Council of Florence and were confirmed by the Council of Trent and Pope St. Pius V in 1570. It’s no wonder this man is a saint for all that he did to save the Church and to save the Mass from this Protestant revolt and revolution.
No pope is above the Church, none; no bishops, no priests. Neither the Church in general nor the pope have the authority or the power or the right to change anything regarding the substance of the sacraments, and the substance in sum means the formula, the words, the formula that the priest must recite to confect a valid Consecration over the bread and wine. Jesus very precisely, very directly and very exactly gave the words to the apostles that He wanted to use in the Church. In the hierarchy there is no council that has any right to innovate anything that touches on the substance of the sacraments.
The Liturgical day of infamy, D Day, destruction day, April 3, 1969, when the late Pope Paul VI chartered the current and awful course of Christ’s Catholic Church. There was no respect for sacramental theology of the Church, there was no respect for apostolic tradition, and precisely that was the intention, a total divorce from the past. And the divorce from the past actually was initiated a lot earlier than it was to our knowledge. It was the orchestration of the late Archbishop Bugnini and company of Masons. In the words of the late Father Malachi Martin, they wanted to completely de-supernaturalize Christ’s teachings. Indeed. Their craftiness, their cleverness resulted in desecration, butchery and mutilation of the Catholic Mass and the sacred words of Consecration pronounced by Jesus Christ Himself. That is a great sacrilege. It was with such great hate that was expressed that was beyond human; it was none other than the work of Lucifer; Lucifer working through six Protestant ministers. How despicable! It’s a liability to be a Catholic today, a Traditional Catholic. That is the truth. This is the reality we are facing. Pray God that you and me, all of us, remain faithful to Christ and His true Church; the true Church He has chosen for us for which He has baptized us, the true Church ever faithful to her Founder, Jesus Christ.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
