Jesus also implies that the Father knows and because of the nature of this message it’s to be shared together with all three persons of the Trinity as they do beginning with the First chapter in the book of Revelation.1:10. Here we have the obvious, as St. John was witnessing the Second Coming of Christ he acknowledge it was on the Lord’s Day. Now to go back to what Jesus said, at the time, the Lords Day hadn’t been established yet. Also knowing that He would come back on Sunday you have another problem. The Hebrew and Christian calendar is based on the Passover Full Moon. The Catholic Church in adding the solar calendar sets it with the first full moon after March 21 The SPRING FULL MOON. The Jews keep their Moon in April. So when we have a late full moon, the Jews and Catholics will occasionally have the same Moon in April. That’s why Easter Sunday falls on differentSunday’s each year because the Moon is not accurate from year to year. So even if, as I do, have Pentecost Sunday as first day of the General judgment, that Sunday could fall on the Middle of May to the first week in June depending where the Moon comes in after March 21.
Another problem we have is where will He first appear, what Time Zone. Most believe and the Bible indicates Jerusalem or Middle East time.. So if He decides to come back there at9:00 A. M. which was the time the Holy Ghost came down, it will be 7.00 p.m. Saturday night in the pacific zone and late Sunday night in the far East. However, I must add, once Christ appears the whole world will turn into 9.00 A.M. Sunday, or the time he chooses to appear. No contradiction here because it depends on where you’re at in the world at the time to what hour he will be seen by you.
As I point out in my booklet, “The Day of the Lord and the Signs of His Coming.” Since the Holy Ghost picked the last Sunday of the pasch to come down on the Apostles establishing the birthday of the Church and it’s generally accepted that the Jews were also celebrating their Harvest Festival and the giving of the Ten Commandments, tradition would be another factor that the Lord will also follow suite. Even St. Peter’s prophesy in repeating Joel on the last days alludes to that Manifest Day, (manifest means obvious) What could be more obvious than the day he was speaking, Pentecost Sunday. Acts 2:20. I point out as well in the scriptures where the Beast is destroyed in the last week of Pentecost in Apocalypse17:11. You can apply this to the end of the Fifty Days where the Beast is destroyed. It can also be the symbol of the Christian and Jewish week. The eighth is the first day of the weekSunday, the Lords day. The seventh is the Sabbath, established by the Father. The Father and the Son are one and the same in the Trinity. The beast is the Vatican II Church working mainly with the Jews for the inter-faith gospel.
One other obvious source for Lord coming back on Sunday, which I left out of my booklet, is the Lord’s Prayer. Where He says, “…thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” Well if It’s God’s will that we come to Him on Sunday, then it has to be His will to come to us on Sunday. The will has to be the same. NO?
I cover the Beast of the Apocalypse, in my “The Great Apostasy,” booklet, and here again St. Paul is referring to a Church SCHISM.
Their are two notable Church decisions on Parousia. The first one is a paradox indeed. St. Pope Gregory I in 600 issued an encyclical called, “Sicut aqua frigida,” to Eulogius, Patriarch of Alexandria. Where he refers to “…nether the son, nor the angels know the day and the hour.,”……….It is written also: Jesus knowing, that the Father gave him all things into His hands, If all things, surly both the day of judgment and the hour. Who, there, is so stupid as to say that the Son has received in His hands that which He is unaware? (Denzinger pg 97) So I would have to conclude that most likely after the Resurrection, Jesus knew all things but allowed the Holy Ghost and the Trinity to reveal the complete revelation of His return. The Holy Ghost is that divine bond which unite the Father with the Son.
“Many things yet I have to say to you,but you cannot bear them now. But when he, the spirit of truth, has come, he will teach all the truth.” John 16:12.
The other main decision on Parousia is the Fifth Lateran Council.1517 which says we are not to declare a fixed time for future evil, the coming of AntiChrist or the PRECISE DAY of judgment. Then it goes on to say that they cannot hinder the Holy Ghost so that if it becomes know to someone before it is preached that they get permission from Rome or in an emergency from the local ordinary before they are published. As I have pointed out that the precise day cannot be pointed out unless we have the precise year. RIGHT? As for the AntiChrist, the faithful will know who he is because they won’t be obedient to his agenda. (Paul VI)
So when someone says , “No one knows when the end will come.” just say, it depends on what part of the world your at on PENTECOST SUNDAY in the middle east..
Grace be with you, in Christ, Joseph
