For example, it excludes monks, hermits, nuns, friars, and other religious brothers and sisters who are not deacons or presbyters. A Prophet is one who speaks in the place of God

Separation of Church and State?

download (25)It’s never really been that way from the beginning. The State violates the First Amendment every time it grants a divorce to someone who was married in a Religious Institution. The Religious Institutions don’t sue because the State provides subsidies to the these Institutions.This being the case if a Religious School wants to exclude Secular People from admission to their Schools they have the right to do so, providing they do not accept state subsides. End of Story.

Italians say NO to plans for mosque next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa

Pisa1-701207Yesterday, 1,800 signatures were collected against the Islamic place of worship – the number needed for a vote to take place.

Italian journalist and politician Magdi Allam called the referendum “the Italian revolution” and he said Pisans did not expect to get 1,800 signatures.

Vice-chairman of the committee against the construction of the new mosque, Gianluca Gambini, said: “And we will not stop here – because we expect to get to a higher number of signatures, at least two thousand, to avoid problems with the council. MORE

Ex-Marine charged with stalking Catholic diocese

K0006889767--236864A former Marine faces a rare federal stalking charge for what the FBI alleges was a campaign of harassment and threats against the Catholic Diocese of Knoxville and its parishes, carried out from a boat in California.

David Andrew Webb, 40, was arrested last month in Chula Vista, Calif., where he had been living on the boat, on a sealed complaint filed by FBI Agent David Bukowski charging him with stalking and a related sealed indictment charging Webb with using a phone to “engage in a course of conduct that caused substantial emotional distress to the victims and placed them in reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury.” MORE
