COPENHAGEN, June 30 — Danish police announced today they confiscated cash worth nearly €11,000 (RM49,000) from migrants under a controversial law allowing authorities to seize valuables from people trying to obtain asylum in the country.
It marked the first time police used the law, which took effect in February.
“The police in Copenhagen have seized around 79,600 kroner (RM37,427) from five foreigners who were trying to enter the country with fake identity papers,” the police said in a statement. MORE

Micah Johnson had planned his sniper attack on Dallas police for months and practiced combat tactics in preparation, a Dallas official said today.
Johnson opened fire on police during a peaceful Black Lives Matter demonstration Thursday night, when marchers were protesting the fatal shootings of two black men by police officers, one in Minnesota and the other in Louisiana. He killed five police officers and wounded nine others. MORE

Archaeologists appear to have found a cemetery belonging to the Philistines for the first time ever, along with the remains of 200 people who were buried there. And together they might help shed light on one the Bible’s most mysterious people.
The scientists have said that the members of the Biblical nation didn’t appear to be “philistines” – finding the people buried alongside jewellery and perfumed oil. They will now conduct further tests that could shed yet more light on the maligned people. MORE

So who is Alton Sterling? For starters, liberals should know he possessed an illegal firearm. As a felon with a lengthy rap sheet, Sterling is legally prohibited from possessing a firearm. Police records show Sterling had been a member of the Bloods gang, and had a list of offenses including battery, assault, drugs and weapons charges, and owed $25,000 in child support.
