Saudi Arabia: National Geographic forbidden to publish

On September 2 the magazine’s Twitter account explained the non-appearance of the issue in these terms: “Dear readers in Saudi Arabia, we apologize that you did not receive August’s magazine. Man on bail caught committing same crime

SURFA Hawthorne man charged in May with breaking into cars while their owners surfed in Manhattan Beach has been arrested for doing the same thing in Huntington Beach while on bail, police said Thursday.

Jordan Paris Adams, 21, was arrested Sept. 15, two days after he used a key hidden on a surfer’s tire to enter his car and take his cellphone and wallet. Adams was then caught on video using the victim’s credit cards to make $5,000 in purchases at a Target store in Huntington Beach, police said. MORE
