More than 100 people have died in Andhra Pradesh in the past week, said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the state’s top elected official. In Telangana State, about 130 deaths have been reported since April 15, said Bhambal Ram Meena, a top state official. Daytime temperatures in Telangana soared to more than 118 degrees Fahrenheit on Saturday.
