All Catholics have to accept, per pain of MORTAL SIN, the deposit of Faith. The deposit of faith consists of, the BIBLE, the Hierarchy, (Pope & Councils) and Tradition, (customs). The church is the sole interpreter of the Bible.All revelation ended with the last book of the Apocalypse and is contained in the Traditions of the Church. Anything of faith is old not new.
There is no new Divine Revelation, however revelation may not be understandable until reveled. As with the Vatican II Council, (Apoc.9), the AntiChrists, (13+) False Prophets (19:20+) and the Day of the General Judgment. (Sunday 1:10. Pentecost 14:14+)
The Church has never totally defined the book of the Apocalypse. However everything in this book must correspond with the other books of the Bible.
God is the author of the truths of faith and the truths learned by reason unaided by revelation.There can be NO contradiction between the two. As it is written, “He who is of God hears the words of God.”
