Suing Law Enforcement is Suing us Tax Payers

The latest incident in the, so called, excessive force, used by a Highway Patrol Officer is another example of law breakers cashing in on the tax payers pocket book under the so called, “excessive force,” laws. Criminal laws need to be changed so that when these, perpetrators are resisting arrest, which causes excessive force to be used, should not be allowed to sue for punitive damages or at least put a cap on what they can sue for. The state should provide the necessary medical expenses until the courts decide if the victim was innocent of provoking the excessive force. If found guilty then they should be fined for these expenses and serve the appropriate jail sentence.
