Summorum came too late to save that community in Poughkeepsie. In the New York Archdiocese as then ruled by Cardinal Edward Egan, the offense of saying this Mass and publishing tracts in its favor was treated as a far more serious crime and scandal than clerical pederasty. Cardinal Egan suspended my Poughkeepsie priest, and effectively exiled him from the life of the church. Priests who knew about the situation observed darkly that if he had raped children instead of saying this Mass, his career would have been better off. MORE

In Bandra lived Mrs. Ann D’Souza, a very pious Catholic who did not attend the New Mass like me for reasons of conscience. After she suffered a heart attack she was annointed to the traditional rite of Extreme Unction by a SSPX priest, Fr. Gregory Noronha, at Guru Nanak Hospital because Paul VI’s new rite of annointing is totally bogus (critique attached)and so are the priests ordained to his new rite of ordination after 6/4/1969. MORE

The Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has announced the first successful live-fire tests of the military’s first smart, self-guided bullets.

In a video released by DARPA Thursday, Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordinance (EXACTO) .50-caliber bullets maneuvered independently mid-flight to accurately strike targets purposefully offset from where the firing sniper rifle was aimed. MORE

Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently on a grand tour of Latin America. His first stop is in Havana, Cuba. Ahead of arriving in Cuba, Putin decided to bestow a gift upon the Cuban government. With one swift signature, he eliminated $32 billion of Cuba’s debt, left over from the Soviet era. MORE

Israel strikes dozens of terror targets as Gaza death toll climbs: Gaza officials said Saturday that at least 16 Palestinians were killed overnight between Friday and Saturday, bring the death toll to 120 since Operation Protective Edge began five days ago. Things here in Israel have been a bit hectic, with over 100 rockets being fired at us since last night. Rockets hit  Jerusalem (population approx 800,000) and Hadera (population approx 100,000), with others being shot down over Tel Aviv (population over 400,000) and other Israeli cities.

Israel has called up 40,000 reserves, and has hit terror sites in Gaza. And as Brian posted earlier, we vaporized five terrorists who landed on Israeli shores on a mission to murder. MORE
