Pope Francis Takes Aim At Ideologically Obsessed Christians, Says They Have Illness (VIDEO)

It may indeed be a truth often overlooked by the well educated who have fallen into the trap of suffering from the “Politically Correct” disease… – – – Interesting to say the least!” Yet we must also add… Only those who are “Politically Correct” a disease in itself, would dare even consider Pope Francis a Marxist when a review of his “from the heart” remarks … they are very humane and holistic and not truly Marxist!  Next, the Roman Jurisdiction will be called a Marxist ideological religion when the truth is that Christianity is the RELIGION and the Jurisdiction is Roman… as is that of “Orthodox” or “Orthodoxy” {meaning “Right belief, Right worship,” etc. Indeed… when one truly scrapes through history… the foundation and base of Christianity itself is in ORTHODOXY by whatever nationalistic jurisdictional name it is called… )

Clearly, Pope Francis isn’t fond of the extreme ideals of the Christian Right. Now, he’s calling right-wing, fundamentalist Christianity an “illness.”

Pope Francis has been very clear about how he feels about ideological purity in religion. He’s been particularly critical of right-wing Christian fundamentalism. Pope Francis has shifted the focus of the Catholic Church to issues facing the poor and the sick. He has railed against economic inequality and has criticized the anti-gay and anti-abortion strains that have come to dominate the Christian Right here in America. Such ideological extremism is dangerous, not only to Christianity, but to the world. And Pope Francis said as much last Thursday.

During a daily Mass last week, Pope Francis called ideological Christianity “an illness” that doesn’t serve Jesus Christ. Instead, it “frightens” people and pushes them away from religion.
