Why St. John the Baptist, was, is and will always be the Greatest Saint that ever lived

Amen I say to you, there hath not risen among them that are born of women a greater than John the Baptist:  yet he that is the lesser in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Matt. 11:11 Remember, Heaven was closed to man at this time.

As you will see, what Jesus is explaining to the Apostles is that He and John were the two witnesses which the Jews were waiting for in His time and place.(1) In this case, Jesus represents Enoch, the bridegroom and John was the other witness (Elias) who represents the laity. They were the two scapegoats taking place of this ritual. This is one reason the Confiteor is said twice at the beginning of the Mass. Once for the religious, the other for the Laity.

Jesus also made it very clear with the rich man who was in hell and the poor man who was in Abraham’s bosom. The rich man pleaded to Our Lord to let him return to warn his brothers of this terrible fire. Our Lord made it very clear that no one can go from one place in the other world back to this place on earth. The exception could only be for the General, Testimonial  Judgment week.

“Fire shall come out of their mouths, and shall devour their enemies.” Apocalypse 11  (The Truth)

Once again when Christ established the Papacy, the Popes became the number one High Priest, Prophet of Prophets and Doctor of Doctors. This means there is no human placed above the Pope.
As long as we have a true Pope in the world there cannot be any major prophets and as for the two witnesses which come into the world during the Great Apostasy, (Schism) we will be without a true Pope as the Antichrists will control the apostate church while the faithful seek refuge in the wilderness. Apocalypse. 12.

Elias and Enoch do not come back but are represented by the current two witnesses. Elias and St. John the Baptist represents the single or chaste state. It’s my understanding of why we say the Confiteor twice, each time at the beginning of Mass, as it is said once for the married state and once for the single state. Or you could apply it as well to saying the Confiteor once for Enoch and the other for Elias.
The two witnesses in the end times cannot be of the Religious simply because Enoch was married and his replacement would represent the married state. Also, both witnesses would have to be free of any control of the religious nature, as they would be speaking in the place of the Pope. They will explain the status of Church, prepare the faithful for the battle of Armageddon (the last battle), the great chastisement (fire from heaven), and the Second Coming of Christ.

Those thousand two hundred sixty days can be a figurative number or the Two will be more obviously recognizable by the faithful. As a result of the Vatican II Council and Paul VI excommunication God had need of them at this time, not 50 years later. What’s important is if, as a Catholics if you can’t see these V-2 Popes as the AntiChrists and Christ’s impending return, you’re not going to recognize the or any of the Two (Or Three) witnesses either. Yes, the same book mentions Three. The third person plays a different role and most likely be a religious.

Also it is very imperative that you understand the authority and power of the two witnesses.  ( And if any man will hurt them, fire shall come out of their mouths, and shall devour their enemies. And if any man will hurt them, in this manner must he be slain.) Apocalypse 11.

In St.John 8:17 it says…and in your law it is written that the Testimony of Two men is true.

To understand what this means is that out of their mouths will come the truth, (fire) and those who resists these truths will be guilty of Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost and will be damned. (Slain-ed=Hell) Also as the Two witnesses to these Heretics, they become judged by them, again as God’s witness.

“These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and they have power over waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues as often as they will.”

This has a double meaning. The spiritual part is the lack of Grace that is given to us because of the lack of Faith among Catholics. (God does not hear the prayers of the Proud) The physical part is accommodated by the three main Angels of Death, Destruction, Disease and all of the other calamities that will befall us during the Great Apostasy being climaxed by the Great Chastisement of Fire from Heaven and then the Return of Our Lord.

And the climax and heart of the cause is, at the end of Mass, he’s in the last Gospel just as he is, figuratively, plays a role in the End of the World.

Again, this is why St. John the Baptist is rated as the Greatest Saint that ever lived because he is a reflection of one of the two witness of the End Times.

It’s my belief that the Great Chastisement should take place during Lent and that the Faithful? will witness a Cross in the Heavens before this happens.

Grace be with you, In Christ, Joseph
