(OAS), is putting pressure on 23 member countries to recognize “marriage between persons of the same sex.”

On January 9, 2018, in answer to a request from Costa Rica, a member State of the OAS, the Court demanded the recognition of the “right to homosexual marriage”, that ensures the same legal protection as marriage.

Juan Puertas, a lawyer and President of the Asociación Antonin Scalia in Peru, told Fides that “as a consequence of the Court’s decision, marriage will cease to be an institution”; “we are renouncing true law,” he explained, “because law is a science based on reality and not on sentiments.” MORE
