Listen to Dr. J. Vernon McGee – Defend Our Lady’s Virginity against the New Catholic Bibles

Dear faithful:When Pope John XXIII called the Vatican II Council he stated in his opening address that he wanted to bring all the Christians together, open the windows and let in some fresh air. However what he meant was, he wanted to bring all Religions together. Question; how do you bring all Religions together with Jesus as God Man. Simple; you make Jesus just another prophet by printing new Bibles and changing those prophecies that make him the Messiah.

The first of these new Bibles was the American Bible 1970. Then came three others that I know of that followed the lead. The Ignatius, Oxford Bible and St. Joseph Bibles. Here are a few changes . Isaias 7:14, prophecy from a “VIRGIN shall conceive, to a young women with child,”casting doubt not only on Our Lady’s Virginity but on the Divinity of Our Lord. The American Bible changed it back, (Two years later) to the similar phase of what it was before to, “..the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son…..” (conceived was left out) but close enough. However still absent from the other New Catholic Bibles,  Other Changes.
St.Gabriel’s Annunciation in Luke 1-26, “Rejoice, O highly favored daughter!” for Hail full of Grace.”My BEING proclaims the greatness of the Lord.” in place of, “My SOUL magnifies the Lord and my Spirit rejoices in God my Savior. Luke 2:49.The child Jesus lost in the Temple. “Did you not know that I must be about my Fathers business.” was changed to, “Did you not know that I must be in my Fathers house.” This new change has no prophecy attached to it because the Temple is everyone’s Fathers house.
The reason I’m bring this up again is because I just happen to hear on this Bible Bus radio show by Dr. Vernon McGee where he states how Our Lady’s Virginity keeps being attack all through the Century’s and he does a great job on the attack in the 70’s mentioned here. He also does a great job in explaining all the different reasons why Mary had to be a Virgin, and where the meaning comes from. I highly recommend you listen to this show of April 8th.

Dr. McGee’s greatest pastorate was at the historic Church of the Open Door in downtown Los Angeles, where he served from 1949 to 1970.Became a non-denominational. He began teaching Thru the Bible in 1967. Died 1988 but is still on the air. Now called the Bible Bus.99.5 FM  6 am and 8 pm  M-Friday
